Last week I posted a piece on One Voice Children’s Choir and a pastel painting I had completed in tribute to them and their Director Masa Fukuda. If you want to read it here is the link.
This post received the most views and comments across social media than any other piece I have written while doing this blog. It was truly an honour to finally get to speak to Masa himself and the kind words he posted will stay with me for a long time.
Isn’t it true that we creatives, whether writing, painting, singing or producing do so because we want to move people, to inspire but also because we want to be moved and inspired back.
The things we do, the things we write can have an impact. That is why I choose to write about those things that are positive and encourage. With books I want to encourage people to read more, to love print media as I do. With art I want to encourage artists and let them know their work matters. For bloggers, I want to encourage you to keep on doing what you love most. Inspire us all.
Masa mentioned in a conversation that the picture I painted is part of my legacy. I liked that because it is true. Everything we post or create is part of our legacy, it is part of our story while here on earth and who knows, it may even live on beyond this life.
